You don’t build a business. You build people. People build the business.
That’s engaging the exponential power of individuals!
Your people are the single greatest asset your business has. Are they getting what they need to perform and excel? Are they leveraging their strengths? Are they doing what they were born to do everyday? Is your business a highly desirable place to work?
This is where I come in! My name is Rachel Louwsma. I am a strengths enthusiast, a developer of people, and an engagement specialist!
I have a B.A. in Psychology from Bethel University in St. Paul, MN. I attended Adler Graduate School for my Professional Coaching Certification and launched my coaching business in July 2013. Prior to coaching, I spent 5 years in Staffing at a Fortune 500 company.
While at that last job before I started my business, I realized something important. People don’t hate their jobs. Most people want to perform well, want to be engaged and want to be a brand ambassador for their business out on the streets. Unfortunately, what often happens is we put people in a role that doesn’t allow them to leverage their strengths and they underperform. They leave the business unhappy and the business starts the cycle all over again with a new employee.
People also are longing for some investment into their development at work. Some folks don’t know how to turn a difficult conversation into a productive conversation. Others have holes in their Emotional Intelligence that need to be addressed.
With all the pressures put on people in today’s workplace, no one actually pursues these things on their own. That’s where a coach comes in! Together, we design a program that works for your business. Maybe its utilizing strengths and figuring out how to build a team. Maybe it’s coaching a high potential employee into their next role. Perhaps coaching a low performing employee to get off a performance improvement plan. I have found there is a need for coaching in just about every business out there and for every person out there.
I have worked with Fortune 500 companies, non-profits, government agencies, churches, schools and students. I also coach in the MBA and MASL programs in the Graduate School of Bethel University in St. Paul, MN. In addition to working for myself, I also coach and facilitate in a 4 month long leadership course called Lead2Transform, focusing on virtue based leadership in today’s world.
